A dress coat remade from a bright red furisode (long-sleeved kimono) by kimono artist Sansai Saito. Vivid flowers and seven-colored Sansai birds are depicted in the high-impact red color. The beautiful pattern that extends to the hem is not wasted at all, and the pattern was carefully matched to create a cohesive look. The seven-colored birds are sewn with seven different colors of threads, and the colors of the threads are also changed to match the colors of the pattern, making this a very fine piece.
